I've encountered multiple hues of realgar. This shade is a little darker than some other pigment suppliers so I enjoy having this option. Notable the texture is conveniently super fine. Excellent work washing & sifting this color. On some arsenic sulfides I get super itchy when I use them but this version is very minimal. Also, orpiment & realgar always have that rotten egg sulfur smell, however the realgar from Master Pigments has the most minimal amount of sulfur smell I've encountered, seemingly due to the special refining processes they use. I highly recommend this pigment.

So pretty and so rare. This pigment really helps make the difference between a painting and a vivid masterpiece !

I love the pigment so much that I purchased it twice from Attila. I wish I could afford a 100gms to mix in my binder and paint an entire panel!
